Pebble Hill Plantation

1251 U.S. Hwy 319, South
Thomasville, Ga 31792

Pebble Hill is a Plantation Estate open to the public for tours and is approximately 22 miles north of Tallahassee. During your visit, you will learn about Plantation which served as a winter home and hunting lodge. The architecture, artwork and furniture are all original to the home which was built during the early 1900's.

The mansion can only be viewed on guided tours and children under 6 are not allowed. The tour of the main house lasts about an hour and a half, is very informative and covers the history of the ownership and culture of the time. The main house also has a large collection of original Audubon lithographs.

The grounds include stables, gardens and support buildings for plantation staff and can be viewed on self-guided walking tours. There are limited snacks and drinks available at the gift shop. The plantation consists of 3,000 acres, 80 of which are open to the public.

We visited the Plantation in April 2007 and camped nearby at the Tallahassee RV Resort.
