The Sebastian Inlet connects the Indian River (which is actually a lagoon) to the Atlantic Ocean. The park is on Hwy A1A between Melbourne and Vero Beach. Campsites 1 through 14 have inlet views but there is a small road between the campsites and the water. Park campsites are close together and most are not shaded.

The park is a premier salt water fishing spot and offers outstanding fishing from the jetties, boardwalks under the bridge and from the banks of the inlet. The North jetties are known for some of the best surfing on the east coast of Florida.

The park has a small museum, boat ramps and picnic areas. Most of the park is on the South side of the inlet. The North side has a small tidal pool which is a safe place for young children to swim and snorkel.

Nearby attractions include the McLarty Treasure Museum.

Our most recent visit to this park was in August 2005.
