Wakulla Springs State Park

550 Wakulla Park Drive
Wakulla Springs, Florida 32305

Wakulla Springs is 14 miles south of Tallahassee and features one of the largest and deepest fresh water springs in the world. The park does not have camping facilities but has an historical lodge for overnight stays. Because private boats are not allowed on the upper portion of the river, the park's scenic boat rides offer excellent wildlife viewing opportunites. The 40 minute boat tour is a "must"for all visitors and well worth the drive to the park. The food at the lodge restaurant is surprisingly good.
